A fairly classic retelling of "The Three Little Kittens"- they lose their mittens, they find them, they dirty them on pie, they get in trouble, they wash them, and all is well. Mom cat smells a rat at the end, who they do not catch and is pictured with a fork in a pie tin on the last page.
