This is the story of Saotse, a blind woman and her pregnant sister Uya. Uya is kidnapped and her family killed leaving Saotse alone. She (Saotse) seeks shelter among strangers in a village where she makes contact with a magical Power. Soon a battle begins, will the new powers be enough to save the Gods and people ? Saotse is a brave woman who is put in a situation that she didn't ask for. She tries to make the best out of her situation. Uya is show more very likable, enslave and pregnant, she is alone and faced with difficult choices. She is faced with living the life of a slave and she does what ever it takes to cope and survive.

Well written, the complex story is easy to follow. Each chapter is told from each persons point of view. Which really pulled me deep into the story. The characters are well developed and we can feel every emotion and understand what they are going through. There is plenty of drama, action and suspense.

I feel that those who love a great fantasy will enjoy Storm Bride. I also love the cover, it is very eye catching and captivating. A true five-star read, I was hook from the first page. show less
