Eh...it started out really funny, but that was about the peak of it. Informative? Kinda, but a lot of it was sarcastic and satirical. Funny? Like I said, it started out really funny, then got stale and repetitive. Interesting? It had its moments. I started reading it "late", as in, my wife is already in her ninth month when I started reading. Would I have been better off the first eight months if I had read this book first? That's a strongly stated no. I'd say any father to be can get along show more very easily without this book. show less

This book is a great gift for any first-time father. It contains excellent advice such as to drink double to make up for your wife's inability to drink and favorite toys for a man to bring to the hospital. The format follows the [What to Expect When You're Expecting] series with each chapter covering one month of the pregnancy. Rather than detailing "What you may be feeling" as per the REAL What to Expect Book, each chapter begins with, "What your wife will be complaining about" and each show more month the first item is always "You." show less

Can be mildly amusing at times, but mostly I'd prefer to have a lot more advice and information.

This is a humorous look at life as a husband with a pregnant wife. There may be a few bits of useful information in here by mistake, but it's mostly supposed to provide some much-needed silliness during what can be a somewhat stressful (although fun and exciting) time.
