Strange Things: The Enquiry by the Society for Psychical Research into Second Sight in the Scottish Highlands, the story by John Lorne Campbell
Fascinating book traces the history of the Enquiry by the Society for Psychical Research into second sight in the Scottish highlands; the collection of stories on the topic made by Fr. Allan McDonald of Eriskay before the enquiry was abandoned uncompleted; and the lady in charge of the enquiry, who freely made use of Fr. Allan's material to create for herself an entirely undeserved reputation as an eminent folklorist.
JLC owned tiny Canna, south of Skye, from 1938 until his death in 2001. It's a loving description of a beautiful place.
