My only complaint is the book tries to be all things to all people with plants from every growing zone.

This is simple text about the travels of seven dandelion parachutes. Each pages tells and shows where each of the parachutes ends up. When the parachute arrives at each of the different destinations the book describes how the parachutes will grow into seeds and make a new dandelion plant. The illustrations are beautiful. After the story part of the book is finished there are three pages of questions and answers about dandelions. This portion of the text is written at a much higher reading show more level but provides an informational component to this realisitc fiction story.The ggod would be a good addition to an earth science unit. Danedlions are hardy and pretty easy to locate and kids could find them and even bring in dandelion parachutes and write about where their chute might land and how their new dandelion might grow. show less
