Yeah, it was OK. A short story, not a novel. A pretty short short story, too, that took like five minutes to gulp down. Plot synopsis: narrator gets an Americano and sits down outside Starbucks with a Cuban cigar to sip-and-smoke while watching female passersby. He thinks about "doing" the mermaid while he waits for his GF to come back from shopping.
The language is rather flowery, not terribly erotic, but amusing enough for a few minutes. The copy-editing appears good and I didn't spot any show more typos. (Well, hell's bells, I hope not in only 7 estimated pages!)
This is an example of a novelty item that is priced way too high for what it is, but which is apparently enjoying good success because it leverages the cachet of a well-known brand. Welcome to the 21st Century, when all you need is a safety-pin fish-hook and the right bait to reel in the big bucks.
Good thing I "bought" it on Kindle freebie day for $0 because full price ($1.65) would be way too much for 7 pages. OK, yeah, I got it on St Patrick's Day because (A) the cover is green (B) it was free. Heard about it on Emily Veinglory's blog. Uh huh, really. I did. show less
