These are fascinating magazines; there are articles on darning; hat-making in Columbia, stamps, photography, bent iron work, postcards - described as a cult; church relics; gardening. The adverts are great too, especially the array of cameras available.
A disappointing issue of Hobbies Weekly, unless you need instructions for building:

A splendid model cottage
A pencil box
A fireplace screen

Articles are on: re-stuffing a seat and 'Things you should know'.
The Hobbies Annual Handbook was published at the beginning of August each year and obtainable at the time from newsagents, Hobbies stockists or by post.

This was the first post war Hobbies Handbook and expectations were hopeful that now that the war was over supplies of wood would return to normal. Little did they know that rationing would continue on many items for a further eight years.

The Handbook was basically nothing more than a shop catalogue, and at 9d it was almost the same price as a show more month's worth of the weekly magazines! For that they do include a pull-out supplement plan for making a model of Aircraft Carrier H.M.S. Indefatigable (in less than a decade she would be sold for scrap). And also 14 Colour nursery Rhymes pictures (Jack Horner, Mary Mary Quite Contrary etc.) for you to cut out and make into stand-ups or other projects. There are also articles with hints and tips on putting together their other models on sale through mail order or from their suppliers.

Naturally, if you happen not to have been living within close proximity to one of the city locations (London, Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, Manchester, Birmingham or Glasgow) which had a branch of Hobbies; you had little choice but to get the catalogue.
