A fun spoof of Star Wars, with a bit of Star Trek mixed on. Lots of pretty good jokes that have actually aged, unlike some other movies from this era.
2026 movie #120. 1983. During WW2, with Nazi troops on the Polish border, an acting troupe In Warsaw is just trying to make a living. A comedy for sure, but doesn't shy away from depicting the horror of Nazi occupation. Remake of a 1942 movie with Bob Hope. Pretty good film.
2025 movie #109. 1987. I apparently saw this movie (according to my wife) many years ago but don't remember any of it. It's pretty funny but not very memorible I guess. Mostly a parody of Star Wars with some other SF classics thrown in like Star Trek and Aliens.
Two guys rescue a space princess.
2.5/4 (Okay).
Some famous people in the cast are the only clue that this was a professional Hollywood production and not just something some friends put together after school. But that might actually be one of it's best attributes.
