Geezer has produced a book that is significantly better than most rock autobiographies, He provides a candid and often amusing insight into Black Sabbath's chaotic career.
Aptly titled, the cohesion of the early years quickly descends into a woeful tale of poor management, drugs and alcohol ruined relationships and frankly disappointing outcomes for fans.
The spectre of the Evil Woman playing her games with the band looms large, but even that can't take away from the uniqueness of the music in show more almost all of its incarnations.
Geezer's career definitely suffers from him keeping a foot in both pies and ends up appearing to be aimless and fragmented. There is absolutely no denying his importance as a lyricist and innovative bass guitarist.
Ultimately, this a sad tale of missed opportunities, but Geezer provides a much better account than the Iron Man's poor effort. show less

It's beyond me how this book had a five star rating (before I cast my vote)
Rather a dull read considering the antics of some of his colleagues, either they are, or were, complete idiots, they seem to have made some very unwise decisions concerning the people involved in managing the band over the course of its existance.
It reads like Geezer still holds a few grudges and has a few scores to settle with some of his former bandmates.
