We thoroughly enjoyed this light-hearted romantic comedy. Ben Stiller is excellent as the unambitious and slightly hapless (but very likeable) Greg. He's in love with Pam, and most of the story covers the weekend when he goes with her to meet her parents.

Robert De Niro is very well cast as the uptight Jack, Pam's father, who doesn't think anyone is good enough for his daughter. He has everything scheduled, and has even trained his cat.

All rather caricatured, of course, but with some serious show more themes, and a lot of very well choreographed humour. Recommended if you want a light-hearted evening's viewing. Rated 12.

A guy tries to impress his girlfriend's parents.

1/4 (Bad).

Gave up after 45 minutes. There were no laughs. All three of the main characters were just being awful to each other for no reason.
