The first original Fifteenth Doctor novel, by Emily Cook, who organised the memorable Twitter watchalongs during lockdown in 2020. Set between the two Fifteenth Doctor seasons, it’s a straightforward aliens-intervene-in-celebrity-history story, the celebrity being lighthouse heroine Grace Darling (apparently a relative of Cook’s; Cook writes herself into the book as well) and the aliens turning out to have some complexity. show more Gorgeous characterisation of Ncuti’s Doctor, not massively original plot. show less

Insight into how the author adapted the Charlotte Mason way of education for secular homeschooling her children. I recommend reading before choosing to use the BYL curriculum in your own homeschool. It helps pave the way to understanding how Emily Cook created BYL out of her experience choosing a literary education for her own children.
