This is a tremendous book. Without pretension, lucid, easy to read if your Spanish is limited. It conveys a wealth of interesting information while teaching both about religion in the Andes and serving a primer in sociology-anthropology of religion.

Disappointing

I read a good variety of books, and enjoyed the idea of retelling of the Alexander the Great story. I seriously struggled with this book. The grammar and sentence structure was very poor, so much so that I struggled to enjoy the story as I constantly had to backtrack to correct the errors in my mind.

I advise you that if you find poor grammar frustrating to not pick up this book, as you will not be getting the story, you will be noticing all the errors. I am sorry that I feel show more this way as I was looking forward to the retelling. show less
