An underrated delight. It's got the bones of a Hallmark holiday movie, but padded out with rich characters and intricate family dynamics that keep it interesting, funny, and even heartwarming long after the happy ending becomes predictable. The acting is flawless, which probably goes without saying considering the cast. One standout is the aunt, who might have come off as a cliched afterthought, but is imbued with genuine pathos by Geraldine Chaplin.
A sorcerer with a street gang kidnaps women.

2.5/4 (Okay).

This movie is super weird. I get why people like it, but mostly I was just wondering why any of it was happening.
Not to my taste. Passed along to a fan.
