Somewhat odd omnibus introduction/reference to paleo pathology. Dated due to the explosion of forensic science in the field since 1964, but still interesting. The author takes great care in cautioning against drawing conclusions and provides numerous examples of overeager research. The attempt at a more lively text doesn’t always seem proper given the subject matter.

Numerous photographs in b&w are not always effective but the drawn figures are generally useful.
