Alison is too competative- she even sacrafices safety for one of her competitions, getting Megan shocked with a battery. To escape her problems she goes to the magic attic and ends up on a hiking trip. She nearly gets her group into big trouble when she takes a short cut she shouldn't, but they manage to get out of it. She learns that some things are more important than winning.

Her carelessness during a science experiment at school prompts Alison to visit the magic attic where she learns that she doesn't need to be first in everything.

Another great Magic Attic Club book, this one stars Alison, who gets transported back in time and finds herself in an Olympic ice skating competition!

It was really good.I just coud'nt wait to read what the bear would do to Alison and her troopers.
