A Dog Who's Always Welcome: Assistance and Therapy Dog Trainers Teach You How to Socialize and Train Your Companion Dog by Lorie Long
Interesting description of therapy and assistance dogs, although after I read it I didn't remember much of pratical advice. It did stress that you need to learn your dog before you learn how to train them and had a handy little quiz. However, the quiz results were never really addressed. (My dog ranks pretty high in Prey and Pack tendencies, close behind with Flight, and nearly no Fight. What impact should that have on training.
If you like reading about dogs, it's worth a read. Reminded me a show more lot of "The other end of the leash.", which I really liked. As far as training, not sure. It's worth a skim probably. show less
