Well researched biography of America's first saint. Elizabeth Seton established the Daughters of Charity in the United States and is credited with parochial school education as well. Her desire to help the sick and poor and educate the young is commendable considering the difficulties and hardships she endured.
Inspires one to the reality of Catherine Laboure's great message to the world about the Miraculous Medal, what Mary desires of us, with explanation of the visions. Also, the reader gains an appreciation of this saints personal growth in holiness and the humbling provided in the many years after the message and visions, and the suffering at the end of her life. I'll always be taken with the miracles of the Miraculous Medal, such as that of conversions.
