Alan Phillips (3) M.A. Oxon, active in the 1960s and early 1970s. Wrote guidebooks for the Ministry of Public Building and Works, focussing primarily on Welsh castles. Note that he does not seem to be the same author as the later works on Welsh castles but was the author of the Yorkshire guides.
