This story's not actually very good, but it's goofy and batshit enough that you hardly notice. And it's refreshing to have a TV serial that only takes as much time as it needs.

A handful of episodes are great. It's usually very good, at least. Once again, it's the serialized elements that bring it down.

Contestants compete to stay in a Scottish Murder Castle.

They've improved the show's format significantly by making the "missions" actually relevant to the game. I still don't understand why players are so focused on getting out traitors ASAP. Although now that I think about it, the strategic players who focused on making alliances are the ones who got murdered early this season, so maybe playing short sighted is the right strategy.

It can be great when it sticks to the formula and really embraces being Modern Day Columbo. A few episodes (especially the serialized ones) have a pretty weak story.
