Considering the potential for an excellent travel adventure, this was a remarkably dull book.
Well....the best that can be said here is that travelling is no longer done (for the most part) as Pinchot did it. Honestly, I can say I learned very little, if anything, from this book. Twas not even a good distractant. A few nice pics and it was interesting reading something about Pinchot that did not deal with forest. Conservationist? Not so much. Finished 04.08.19.
This is the kind of book someone receives at a retirement or going away ceremony. It is a very thin, very old book which has little meaning to anyone outside the National Forest system.
