Reviews
An opinionated study of film music from different aspects: historical, aesthetical, technological. Very well written and well-argued, giving ample examples from the literature to illustrate its points. Best when talking about Hollywood's golden years (30s-50s) though the author is certainly no musical conservative and (even in the 70s) has perceptive comments on the use of computers and digital audio.
