A play about the Human Genome Project? Yes. Craig Venter and Francis Collins face off in the race to sequence the human genome. A journalist bounces between them, trying to get a worthwhile story, while egos flash and money flows. This is more a story about big business than it is about science. The basics of genetics are discussed, complette with freshmen level simplifications for the sake of the audience, but the real play is about the intersection of science and big business, and what show more happens when scientists begin working on a project that will make a lot of money for a few people. Not a stupendous piece, rather talky and pedantic. show less
