Quinn Loftis absolutely blew me away with this fourth installment in the Grey Wolves Series. I didn't think it could get any better, but Quinn has done it again with Out of the Dark. This book picks up where Just One Drop leaves off. Jen is missing and Decebel is desperate to find her. Decebel is coordinating moving the pack to a safe place, because his Alpha is recuperating from an attempt on his life, and a fire fueled by evil has consumed the place where they were staying. Decebel knows show more that the source of what is happening is very evil, and a curse threatens his new bond with Jennifer. We are introduced to witches and the Fae in this book, which is phenomenal, and we get to know more about Rachel, who is also a gypsy healer, and her mate Gavril. Of course Jacque, and Sally are right in the middle of things as they try to find Jen, and where Jacque goes, Fane goes.
Out of the Dark is filled with heart-stopping action, mystery, and drama. Quinn's writing transports you into a mythical world where you encounter werewolves, witches, and get to experience the world of the Fae. I loved getting to see the relationship develop between Jen and Decebel - I just adore this couple, and of course, when you have Jen, Jacque and Sally together, there is never a lack of side-splitting humor, which perfectly balances out the intense situations. I have loved seeing these snarky girls grow and transition in each book of the series. Their bond and their sense of humor is incredible. Oh, we mustn't forget the oh so smoking HOT werewolves, Decebel and Fane, who are completely yummy...."swoon." There are also some exciting developments in Sally's life.
I fell in love with this series when I read the first book, Prince of Wolves, and I am even more in love with it now. It just keeps getting better and better. Quinn's imagination and talent never ceases to amaze me. She keeps taking the story to new levels, adding twists and turns, keeping you on your toes and desperate to see what is happening next, while still enabling you to follow the lives characters you have grown to know and love in an personal way. I am already on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book in the series, and I am looking forward to watching Quinn Loftis continue to astound with her amazing talent. show less

Sealed by Fire continues right where things left off in Bound by Earth. Tara, now recruited to join Terra Academy, is preoccupied with her newfound powers, her soul bond with Elias, and the rescue of her best friend, Shelly, who is trapped in the underworld. But with the help of Ra Nasir, a fire Elementalist from Crimson Academy Shelly makes it out if the underworld but not unscathed.
Although the beginning of the book felt a little slow, the story quickly picked up, and I found myself show more engaged in the characters' adventures. While I didn't connect with Ra as much as I did with Elias, I still appreciated his role in the story and his dedication to rescuing Shelly. The relationship between Shelly and Ra is compelling, as both characters must make difficult choices and sacrifices to achieve their goals.
So far, the series has an imaginative and creative plot: a unique blend of supernatural elements, romance, and action. I appreciate the insinuation of saving oneself for marriage/having one partner; however, some of the language and romance scenes are a bit much for younger teenagers. 3.5 Stars. show less

The Clan Hakon Series was an absolute joy!
The conclusion of this series was well worth the wait. I loved hearing from these beloved characters again. In book three, Quinn Loftis gives you a little bit of everything, from hysterical characters that will have you laughing out loud to breath-holding battle scenes between evil witches and Vikings. My 4.5 rating is due to the somewhat predictable scenes. It felt a little too cheesy at times and seemed rushed in the end. However, overall, The show more Vikings Consort delivered for me and ended the way I had hoped it would.
If you’re looking for a highly entertaining, funny, and easy read, I would highly recommend this series. 💕 show less

This author forgot to write the first book.
We are thrown into an already established world in which all the drama already happened.
We are bombarded with a seemingly endless number of povs.
I don't know why I should care about anyone or anything.
The book never bothers to establish any kind of emotional connection to the reader. I didn't even learn the goal that is being worked towards in the first half of the book (after which I dropped it).
The author literally forgot to tell the audience what show more the book is even about. show less
