Parley P. Pratt is hilarious. Not only that but he is very adept at explaining the process of his mind. He mentions that he reads constantly and it shows. The only thing I didn't like was the abrupt ending. There was no final word on what happened to those poor children left in the south away from their mother. I look forward to inviting him over for lunch sometime in the distant future. :)
One of the stars is purely for his flowing prose. I liked his autobiography better.
Great personal account of his conversion and life in the early LDS Church. I read it twice and this date is for the second time. Not sure when I first read it, but it may have been '77, right after mission.
This is the best autobiography that I have ever read. I love learning about this man, his flaws and all, in the context of the beginning of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
