About the Author
Born in Morecambe, Lancashire, Eric Taylor served as a wartime infantry officer in North Africa and Italy. He was for many years an RAF Squadron Leader in Germany and lived in Cologne for three years. A graduate of Manchester University, he has written many books on the Second World War.
