Hajime Sorayama

No-one can deny the almost photographic rendition of Sorayama's technique and the metallic originality that has even inspired fashion designers.

But his love affair with "beauty spots" in almost every rendition, just below the lower lip, to the left or right, on almost all his females figures, and sometimes even the robots, is most amusing. A good book to peruse, spoilt only (in the copy I own) with crude censorship on a few of the illustrations (whose stupid idea was that?)

Truly astounding and brilliant works of art, spanning the gamut from pinups to robotic sharks. How is this guy not a household name?

Simply put....Wow.
