Reviews
Despite a dragging middle section that involves a lot of hand wringing, a novel (actually novella) take on the vampire tale. A page turner otherwise, anyone except the most ponderous reader will blaze through this slim volume in one sitting. It's odd that this was never reprinted until Valancourt brought it out. Perhaps it was just too long for most anthologies. A shame since most "best of" vampire anthologies have plenty of dross well below this.
