The premise of this book is that there haven't been books written giving a history of atheism. Though possibly true at the time this book was written, it certainly is not true now. There have been several recent books on the topic, including Doubt and Freethinkers, both of which are more entertaining and more comprehensive. Overall, not bad, but not a must read.
