Start off by slapping a Nazi and then chase other Nazi assholes all over Europe and South America in order to bring them to justice? Hell yeah!

I was not familiar with the Klarsfelds before this book, but now I'm a big admirer. Even though this is an authorized story, it is not afraid to make them look a little off-kilter and even incompetent in their crusade to bring Nazis to trial even decades after the end of World War II. It's disheartening to see the wheels of justice turn so slowly, but show more inspiring to see people committed to seeing it through to the end.

Excellent procédé des auteurs que d'avoir fait le choix d'une narration en miroir du combat de Simone Veil face aux parlementaires, dans la défense de sa loi sur l'avortement, et celui qu'elle a dû mener --absolument terrifiant-au camp de la mort d'Auschwitz. A l'âge de 16 ans, elle faisait déjà preuve d'une force d'âme hors du commun en essayant de réconforter sa soeur plus âgée et leur mère qui s'affaiblit de plus en plus et qui mourra du typhus, juste un mois avant la show more libération du camp par un général anglais.
La rencontre à l'adolescence de la haine totale et de la négation de l'humanité sont suivies, quelque 30 ans plus tard, par le déversement d'un flot d'injures haineuses et innommables, qui osent comparer la loi défendue à une démarche d'extermination nazie. show less
