Kate Mathis

This was a wonderful book. Started off kind of slow and I couldn't really get into it. But in the middle and the end, I could not put the book down. I especially loved the twist at the end and I can't wait to see where book 2 takes it.

I selected this book because I was looking for another series similar to the Miss Fortune series. The blurb was hopeful but the writing was boring, the characters unremarkable.
