Tips From The Old Country Folk
Compiled by Elizabeth Drury
I have always been fascinated by country lore, and the wonderful sayings and traditions that accompany it. Growing up my mom always used to tell me, "red sky at night, sailors delight, red sky in the morning, sailors take warning." I found inspired dittys like that all through this 96 page hard covered darling. Along with a large helping of cute sketches sprinkled through out.
I found this book to be very informative and entertaining at show more the same time, and feel that Elizabeth did an excellent job at giving a wonderful cross section of rural life and wisdom. Everything from what firewood to burn, not starring at dogs because they do not like it and even some wild herbal remedies. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to think out of the box and live closer to the land. A remarkable tribute to God's Country.

The time when you could still use Downing St as a cheeky shortcut between St James Park and Whitehall. Amazing photos, especially if you live in London.
