This collection frustrated me in the extreme, as I had the distinct impression that the poet had much to convey that I wanted to comprehend. Alas, she made this in no way an easy or even possible task. There were so many glimmers of hope, fragmented connections, but overall, most poems seemed to spin out of her control, erratically jumping about...casting nets too widely. I felt that she should have reigned herself in and followed a single idea/sentiment/etc. through, but instead, often show more became tangential which diminished any central theme. show less
