There is obviously quite a bit of heart and passion behind this, both in the topics of baking as well as mental health, and that passion fuels most of the story. I don't think the writing itself is very strong; overall it's rather simplistic and to the point, almost coming off like it's written for young readers despite the target audience being adults. It almost feels like the book is trying to cater to both audiences, which makes for a jarring reading experience. I also strongly believe show more this story would have benefitted from being colored instead of black and white. There is an element of being unfinished that permeates the pages. Overall, I enjoyed the messages, despite them being painted in veryyyy broad strokes, and it was fun getting to see Kim-Joy's new creation! show less
