Duncan Falconer

Brilliant. An action packed thriller which was clearly penned by an experienced warrior who knew exactly what he was writing about. I love the way he does not feel the need to show off his knowledge with long, drawn out technical passages. The writing is fluid and easy, the action suspenseful and exciting, the characters real and gritty. I will definitely be reading more from this man and if I see him in my local, I'll be buying him a pint.

Another fine action packed novel but not on the same level as The Hostage for me. Plenty to like but the odd passage which lost my interest and consequently the 5 star rating. I'd still rec it to those who like military thrillers though. Falconer clearly knows his stuff and it shows.

Excellent story, perhaps the ending was slightly rushed but then again I was reading it quickly because I wanted to know how it finished!

Bus book. Can be put down easily. IRA and english baddies.
