While this book is obviously dated, it definitely provides a good overview of Kerberos, especially the MIT and Heimdal Kerberos flavors. What's bizarre is that there is still an issue with using something other than /etc/krb5.keytab in specific instances though you can specify the file path as an option when using MIT Kerberos, and this is 2023! Granted, this was in a lab environment, so I'm inclined to use Heimdal Kerberos if I ever need to go that route. Regardless, I know you can find show more implementation for modern installations on the web, but Jason Garmin did a good job covering the protocol, its history, and various implementation scenarios. show less
