I'd been putting this off for a while as I'd read a first book in a related series and it was more PWP rather than having a real story. Fortunately this book really DID have a plot and was a very enjoyable journey with Drew, Shaq and Shaq's rag-tag pack, and the goddesses.
Off to read the next in the series!
Narrated by Michael Dean - excellent

I was confused, a bit, by how the romance was developing among these 5 people at first. I got that Draco and Sawyer had a longstanding "will they, won't they" going on. I wasn't so clear about Henry, Eduard, and Andi. Yes, I knew he thought they were hot, but I didn't think it had progressed beyond that. Then to find out that Andi and Eduard had an "understanding" for a while, was a bit jarring. I really feel like I missed something. Maybe it was cut during editing. The sex is hot, even if show more it has so many bodies it needs a color commentator. Can't wait for more guardians to show up. I'm going to need a flow chart to map the relationships and sex scenes. show less
Oh, Macy Blake and her Chosen One universe. There's just something the world and the characters that she's created that just make you want more and more and more of them. Really, I can't get enough of them, and I've had to reread them more than once, just because they are so good.
Solomon is the second in command in the hellhound pack. When Meshaq is gone, he takes over. Cody is a human bartender who works at Meshaq's bar, and Solomon has always been intrigued by him and vice versa.
The show more chemistry between these two is fantastic. I love Cody, I really do. He's got a very good heart, I think, and is a lot stronger than people might think he is, but there really is a spine of steel and a strong sense of responsibility and duty there.
Solomon is a very honorable and good man. He's also occasionally oblivious, but still, good and honorable. He's also fierce and protective. I don't think there is anyone better for either of them than them, if that makes sense. show less

OMG! I've been waiting for this book from the very second I finished reading the last one, and I had to reread all the other books in this world at least once to tide me over because I seriously didn't know if I would make it. I did, and it was worth every single second's wait.
It was really nice checking in on all our guys again and see how they are adjusting to all the changes that have been happening. I mean, not only are they dealing with the magical stuff, they are also dealing with the show more addition of new mates. I really like Ward and I'm happy learning more about him. Sawyer and Henry are still cute as all get out and I can never get enough of reading about them.
I know that this is billed as a reverse harem story, but I don't think it really is. It's totally a polyamorous relationship. Within the larger group, there are all kinds of relationships. You have all the guys as one relationship together, and then each of the guys has their own relationship with each of the others. That means you get whole group interactions and interactions in 2s or 3s. On top of a great story that keeps drawing me in further and further, we also get to see how a good poly relationship can work, and that it takes time and communication, but love is love, and it works for them.
We also get a glimpse of one of Sawyer's brothers and his mates. I wonder if their other brother is going to show up as well. I can't wait for the next one. show less
