In Spies Like Me, Emma has gone to live with her grandmother after the death of her father in a plane crash. She soon finds out that her father was murdered because he belonged to a spy organization called "The Authority" and he was investigating a company that altered the systems used to control the irrigation in order to poison the world's food supply. When Emma finds out that her mother was also part of "The Authority," she decides to join when she is invited. She meets three other girls show more who are about her age and are also members in "The Authority." As Emma trains to be a spy, she learns that her teammates were asked to join because they all have some special talent, but she can't figure out what her talent is supposed to be.
Spies Like Me is a fast-paced, action-packed novel with lots of twists, turns and adventure. We follow Emma as she learns more about her family and where she fits in this spy organization. The ending contains an unexpected twist that makes me anxious to read the next story.
