I found this book from its listing by Maria Popova's Brain Pickings as a best science book of 2014. It is a gem. Soft and sumptuous tactile and visual delight. It is perfect as a traveling companion -- lightweight and easy to slide into my bag, and delightful as a "conversation show more starter" with myself and my own thoughts. This little package of a book paradoxically holds so many marvels and plenty of "scope for the imagination," as Anne of Green Gables would say.
