In total disclosure I received this book for free from the author, but you can bet your bottom dollar I will be buying the next installment. It's just that good.

And that thing is vampires. The sassy, wise-cracking Ella is faced with not only her past but what show more her future entails. Made worse by a demon who wove a spell over herself and her bodyguard/leash Micah. There's a Soul Mate trope. A We Hate Each Other trope. There's an ex-boyfriend in the wings. A secret society of sorts out that's a watchdog over all things that go bump in the night.

Did I mention the hot, hot sex? No. So, let me be clear, the sex is hot.

And, thankfully, finally in a series there's no question on the last page who she'll end up with. And it's the person you want her to end up with.

If you wanted a kick ass heroine like Mac, but a less douchey Barrons who was still hot, this is the book for you. I loved it and can't wait for the next installment. Devlin is an author to watch. show less

You can tell that BLOOD LUST RISING is going to be a great read from the first Chapter. Ella and Micah cant stand each other but also have mad attraction. Ella is a born hunter and also happens to be a half vampire. Because she is now half vampire the hunters despise her and are always looking for a way to get rid of her. Micah he Shadow Hunting partner was sent to keep an eye on her and report on her back to his father the head of the Shadow Agency.

There is non stop action and suspense show more going on in BLOOD LUST RISING. Ella and Micah's hate for each other gets extremely complicated early on after they wake up together naked and covered in blood and sporting new tattoos. They tend to bicker a lot but it is extremely entertaining watching their relationship change and grow. Their love scenes are nice and steamy. There is a great array of interesting characters. Castro who happens to be a Demon Lord was one of my favorites besides the main characters.

Fayth Devlin brought a great cast of characters, an attention getting plot and a great romance. I enjoyed every minute of BLOOD LUST RISING and cant wait to read what happens next. show less

Great story.. the author is very descriptive...more then just vampires in this first book - we got demons, werewolves and shape shifters. The demon world created well and plays an important part in the story.
The overall plot is good, character & world building is great, and the sex isn't bad at all. I am really looking forward to the next 2 books. I am dying to know how this will trilogy end

I'm not usually a fan of paranormal or a series, but I loved this book. Can't wait for the next installment.
