What girl wouldn’t love having two fiancés? In a far away desert land, Lucien, the boy that young Princess Shakuya is betrothed to, disappears in a sandstorm and is presumed dead. Years later, Lucien returns to find that he’s been replaced. Now, to win back his place, Lucien needs to win the princess’s heart!

With such a simple story, this could easily have been a girls-only series, but Nari Kusakawa writes characters with such personality and heart that even boys will enjoy the show more banter and competition of the two suitors for the princess’s heart. The art is clean and easy to follow, and echoes the story perfectly. A very enjoyable read! show less
This one caught my eye as a recommendation on Amazon and I was happy to see my library system carries the (hopefully entire) series. Usually love triangle type stories frustrate me but this one was cute enough and all the characters were so quirky it didn't bother me at all.

In this we join a dragon shapeshifting princess whose fiancee is her beloved, but older, head of the police force. However, things get complicated when her original fiancee who had disappeared as a boy, returns from the show more desert to claim his heritage and his betrothed. All the characters are appealing and I've already determined who I'd like to see our young heroine with. I'm certainly invested in discovering how it all turns out and I'm looking forward to it.

Wonderful artwork (no blank looking, creepy faces here) in a fluid enjoyable style along with two very cute tiger cubs round out this engaging story.
