Pretty good ideas
I flipped through this book and marked things I'd like to try. There were quite a few. Some good ideas, though I may try to adapt some of my gluten free recipes to do something similar. I liked many of the ideas but the most novel ones were the slice mixes that could be used as starters for various cream soups or dips.

If you’re looking for DIY gifts for friends, families and your kids’ teachers, 100 Easy Recipes in Jars is a perfect book for you. It even has free labels for your gifts of cookie mix, bread mixes, etc., that you prepare in your kitchen.
However, I have been using these jar recipe cookbooks to prepare weeknight meals for a husband and children who are clueless in the kitchen. When I’m working late or simply exhausted, they can take a mason jar I’ve filled with the dry ingredients and show more just add water, broth and maybe an item or two. It’s not the same as freshly prepared dinner, but it’s cheaper and healthier than take-out. I was able to find three recipes I could use, and one was for pineapple bread, which I will not even both to put in a mason jar ahead of time.
If you’re like me, you’ll be happier with Mason Jar Cookbook: 60 Super #Delish Mason Jar Recipes & Seasoning Mixes. Even better, it’s also free on Kindle Unlimited. show less

Who doesn’t love Italian food! All that aromatic tomatoes, al dente pasta, heart-healthy garlic, and flavorful parmesan and Pecorino Romano cheese; it makes this girl swoon. Bonnie Scott had me in the first chapter when she talks about garlic; how to peel it, store it, and even freeze it.
The cookbook contains chapters on mouthwatering goodies such as gnocchi, rice balls, risotto, and pasta with sauces. The first recipe I tried was the Pasta e Fagioli which used easy to find pantry items show more and tasted great with a tossed salad on the side. Being a little daring, I next tried the Rice Balls (Arancini Sicilian-Style) and had a hard time keeping to just one serving.
If you a looking for an Italian cookbook with easy to follow recipes using fresh or easy to find items find the grocer then A Taste of Italy needs to be on your bookshelf.
