This is another important book about immigration, this time told through the eyes of a child whose parents came to America from Korea. With the fear in our country about the harm immigrants might do (a fear incited by our so-called "president") and the misunderstandings about other cultures, I'd encourage young adults and adults to read it. It's told in a sweet voice and based on the author's memories from age two through high school.

This book is perfect for reading during the Thanksgiving holiday. It allows young children to think about what their experience might have been like.
