Ground Forces in the Korean War 1950–53 (1): The North Korean People’s Army and the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army (Men-at-Arms, 560) by Benjamin Lai
The real virtue of this booklet, is that Lai is providing one with a concise origin story of the North Korean military, followed by an examination of the Chinese "People's Volunteer Army" that was Mao's instrument of intervention in the Korean conflict. It should be noted that Benjamin Lai seems to be turning into a "go-to" guy for Osprey in regards of 20th-century Asian military history, and I can think of some other topics he could tackle.
Standard Osprey, good to great art, good introduction text to the subject matter.
