preference for non-fiction: mainly Sociology, Psychology, Critical Thinking, Art, Contemporary Social Critique & Philosophy, and - above all other subjects previously mentioned - specific Historical subjects.

Native Dutch speaker + proven English ancestry - preferred reading languages: Dutch & English

All books contained in the Wishlist are up for personal review and research beforehand, i.e. most of them will be read after having examined the author's credibility, Amazon reviews, Amazon previews to get a general idea of the content, number of pages, Wikipedia bibliographies on specific subjects I tend to research quite a lot over the past years...etc. to determine which of those are definite must-reads, in order to avoid buying abject disappointments ! All the unsatisfactory books will be eventually deleted from this Wishlist. The Wishlist also serves the purpose of generating more adequate and detailed Automatic Recommendations on subjects I may want to read about at a later stage, in conjunction with my Tags page.

Due to personal circumstances, I have not been able to read ANY books between March 2005-August 2009, so I have a lot of catching up to do. Books read before 2005 are not included on the profile (yet), plus a significant portion of those have been irretrievably lost due to aforementioned circumstances. So there you go.
