The year is 1868,the place Cambridge. Dr Simon Witherspoon ,a young clergyman who holds a post at De Vere college discovers the dead body of the college librarian and the fact that various important manuscripts are missing. There are two main strands to the story, firstly the Shakespeare Authorship question,if the great plays and poems were written by Shakespeare or by someone else entirely. The second thread is that of a treasure hoard hidden (supposed)somewhere in the college.Witherspoon show more teams up with Theresa Brown,a newspaper reporter to find out just where the treasure is hidden.Nothing and no-one is quite what is seems however.
A well told story, with just a little falling off towards the end,The illustrations are quite superb. show less

Have you ever wondered just what you have to believe to be a Christian? Perhaps you learned an answer at the time of Confirmation but things have changed since then, you think differently. Here is a book which could help you work through this and other basic questions you haven't asked for a while, such as, " What do we mean by "original sin" or "the resurrection of the body"?The author doesn't give dogmatic answers but rather suggests helpful new ways to look at old questions.
