My attention was drawn to this partly because I had read the book on Brunel and partly because being from South Wales GWR has resonance for me. Like the other books in the series, this one is lavishly illustrated and very informative. The history of rail can be a little difficult to follow at times but this one set if all out very clearly and interestingly. I wonder when I might next travel through the Severn tunnel.
