(read 17 Feb 1999) The author, my in-laws' brother, spends a lot of time examining Catholic doctrine re original sin. He says there were subhuman types before Adam and Eve, but they are ancestors of all people now alive, and that they lived "in the neighborhood of 200,000 years ago." A lot of study is reflected in this unusual and extremely interesting book.

2368 Original Sin: Where Doctrine Meets Science, by Anthony F. Zimmerman, S.V.D., S.T.D. (read 15 Mar 1991) This book is more sermon-like than organized, but there are interesting thoughts in it. I have known the author for years and he is an interesting person and a real student.
