- Mark Jackson is an associate professor in the College of Arts and Sciences. He teaches classes in the Dialogues of Learning (Lynn's core curriculum) as well as chemistry classes for science majors. For the past 30 years Jackson has worked with BarCharts, a Boca Raton publishing company, to author a number of chemistry and physics QuickStudy academic review guides. Jackson has also written iBooks for the chemistry labs and upper level dialogue classes.
He spent 19 years as a tenured faculty member in chemistry at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), where he taught courses ranging from introductory chemistry to graduate specialty courses, until retiring as an associate professor in 2007.
While at FAU he developed a number of distance-education courses designed for working students and teachers. He was also very active with student life, advising many clubs and chaired an advisory board for on-campus religious clubs. His university service activities included chairing the Faculty Senate and service on a host of committees, covering intellectual property and distance education and athletics, to name a few.
At Lynn, Jackson is a member of the Lynn University Sustainability Committee and works with the Office of Development to raise funds for student science projects. - Nationality
