This series continues to be so cute and spooky. This time Aveline faces off against the Fae. I do love a good creepy story about Fair Folk. The book takes place in wintertime and is very atmospheric. Each book is fairly episodic, but this one does mention the baddies from the previous two books, though I don’t think you need to have read them to enjoy this one.
This book was so cute and fun! I loved the autumnal seaside vibe. It was spooky, but not overly so- Perfect for kids who may scare easily. I liked how local folklore was interwoven with more widely known Halloween folklore. A great book to read in October!
Cute follow up to The Haunting of Aveline Jones. It wasn't spooky at all. Maybe because it takes place in the summer? IDK. I did enjoy it quite a lot, though. Aveline is clever and resourceful. I love her friendship with Harold. And I like her family dynamic too. The adults in her life are always supportive even if they don't 100% understand what's going on.
