Some of the book was dull as drying paint. Much was of high interest....especially the parts where he acts as a judge on the frontier of Alaska! The Nome and Aleutian Island sections were great. The attempted climb up McKinley was less so. This is the second time I've read the book and still absolutely worth the time!
